Soldier Plate Carrier System
The Soldier Plate Carrier System (SPCS), which decreases Soldier load and increases Soldier mobility in various terrain and theater conditions is designed as an alternative, not a replacement, for the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV), the core of the IBA system. Both systems serve to provide Soldiers in combat with protection from enemy small-arms ballistic threats.
Description
The SPCS has adjustable shoulder and side straps to secure a proper fit and to keep the vest in place with minimal shifting during wear. Other features include padded shoulders, a 500 denier Cordura outer carrier, cable release, wrap-to-front design for a secure fit with easy donning, man-down drag strap, wire channel buttonholes, and PALS webbing for securing mission essential equipment. It is available in 6 sizes (XS-XL and 2XL/4XL).
